In July of 2012, Tustin Gateway SPE, LLC accepted $19,500,000 from members to develop a 149‐room Residence Inn, a 145‐room Fairfield Inn & Suites, and up to 16,200 square feet of retail/restaurant space on 8.38 acres in Tustin at the intersection of California State Route 55 and Edinger Avenue.

The hotels are managed by affiliates of Marriott International, Inc.
The hotels were sold to an affiliate of Apple Hospitality REIT, Inc. on February 5, 2015. The retail parcel consisting of a 7,100 square foot building that is 82% leased and a vacant pad for additional retail/restaurant development will be retained by ownership.
